• Since the ban, bald eagle populations have increased throughout the country and around the Chesapeake Bay area in particular.

• Not only has it recovered creatures such as the peregrine falcon, bald eagle, gray whale and brown pelican, but it has brought back from the brink many more, including the black-footed ferret, the California condor and the Florida manatee.

• Bald Eagle nests are often very large, measuring up to 6 feet in width and weighing hundreds of pounds.
