• According to the FIMS dataset, the area logged and left to regenerate was 801 km2 per annum, while the RSLUP report tells us that the area “degraded” by logging operations was 973 km2 per annum.

• If similar vegetation cover is allowed to regenerate, such disturbances may not lead to a long-term change in carbon stocks.
